Cervical Screening (Smear Tests)
We have a cervical screening recall programme. Practice nurses provide this service.
Child Immunisations (Vaccines)
Following Department of Health guidelines, the Practice would encourage all children to complete the recommended Immunisation Programme. Both pre-school and school age catch-up programmes are offered.
Appointments can be made with one of our Practice Nurses.
Contraception and Sexual Health
Advice is available on all forms of contraception. For fitting and follow up of intrauterine devices (coils) and implanon, we refer patients to Sexual Health Tees
Counselling

Flu and Pneumococcal Vaccinations
We offer flu and pneumococcal injections every year from October onwards. These are for patients aged 65 and over and for those patients within a clinical at risk group. You can book an appointment with the reception team.

Our team of nurses and health care assistants, supported by the doctors, provide regular check ups for patients with the following:

Managing Your Weight
If you need some help with losing weight, please make an appointment to see a Practice Nurse who will help you with dietary advice and to plan your weight reduction.
Maternity Services
Ante natal and post natal care is provided through the support of our attached team of midwives.
Please note that intrapartum care (care during delivery) is not provided by the doctors.

Midwife
A team of locally based Community Midwives look after our patients during pregnancy. The antenatal clinics are held at local child health centres in the Stockton area.

Minor Surgery
Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner offers this service for appropriate problems. More complex procedures are referred to hospital. The practice also offers joint injections via appointment with your doctor.
NHS Health Checks
The Practice Nurse will perform a health check involving blood pressure, weight, routine urine testing, etc. Advice is available on diet, smoking and other aspects of health promotion. It is recommended to have a health check every 3 to 5 years.
Quitting Smoking
There are a number of Smoking Cessation Clinics throughout our locality. Please contact Smoking Cessation Service on 01642 383819 for any enquiries.
Well Baby Clinics
These are held at the surgery every Friday with Health Visitors at 10.00-11.30am.
Immunisation
We support the Department of Health programme for childhood immunisation and offer an appointment for childhood immunisation with the Practice Nurse. Should this time be inconvenient you can of course make an appointment with the practice nurse in the usual way.
Adult immunisations including flu and travel vaccinations are offered by the practice nurses via appointment.
Child Health Surveillance
A programme of checks is carried out by the doctors and health visitors in order to detect problems early and to help ensure normal development.
Health Promotion
The doctors and nursing staff are always pleased to advise you on health matters such as smoking, alcohol, diet, stress, relaxation, exercise and heart disease. The purpose is to help you enjoy a healthy life.
