I qualified from Birmingham medical school in 1990 then trained and worked as a GP in the West Midlands before moving to Eaglescliffe Medical Practice in 2002. I am a GP trainer- I supervise doctors through their training to become GPs and I also teach medical students.

I qualified from Edinburgh University in 1995 and worked in Edinburgh until completing GP training in 2000.
I then practiced in Langholm and Hawick in the south of Scotland before moving to the North East in 2015 for family reasons.
I have an interest in woman and children's health and am part of the UK emergency medical team.
In addition to their roles as family practitioners the doctors maintain expertise by having appointments in clinical governance (raising the quality and standards in the NHS), appraisal of other GPs, emergency care, the Health Protection Agency and medical teaching.
